Proceed to the left up the hill. At the traffic light, at the top of the hill, turn left onto Washington Street. It is the second building on the left. (Large white Victorian, YWCA sign in front yard). BY CAR From points North: Take 95 South, to Rte 1 South; to Rte 99 (Broadway) to Rte 60 West – turn right onto Rte 60 ( Eastern Ave). After approx. 1 ¾ miles, watch for two six story parking garages. Take next right at traffic light, (after 2 nd garage) onto Commercial Street. The Malden Orange Line Station is across the Street. Follow Commercial St. to traffic lights at the top of the Hill and take a left onto Washington St. The Malden YWCA, is the second house on the left (Large White Victorian Home) Parking is available in the back of the building. Use the side entrance near the handicap ramp. From Boston: Take Rte 93 North, to Rte 60 east to Malden (exit 32). See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Points West: Mass Pike East; to Rte 128 North; to 93 South; to Rte 60 East to Malden (Exit 32) See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Route 495: Take 93 South; to Route 60 East to Malden (Exit 32) See Rte 60-East directions - listed below From Route 60 Traveling East: Continue for approx. 3 ½ miles. Go under Railroad Bridge. (The Orange line Station will be directly overhead). At the next traffic light, take a left onto Commercial Street. Fleet Operations and Gov’t Center will be in view. Follow Commercial St. up the hill. At the traffic light at the top of the hill, take a left onto Washington. The Malden YWCA is the second building on the left (large white Victorian House). Parking is available in the back of the building. Use side entrance near the handicap ramp.

In partnership with MassHire, WorkSmart equips youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s workforce. Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing students—especially those who are low-income, first-generation, international, and English language learners —with hands-on experiences that prepare them for real-world success. Through career exploration, professional development workshops, mentorship, internships, and job shadowing , students gain the tools to make informed decisions about their future. RESIDENCY SERVICES A YWCA Malden Initiative to Prevent Homelessness: Access to Affordable Housing Our Residency Program provides a safe, affordable and supportive place for women to call home. Residents have easy access to public transportation, employment opportunities, educational programs, and social service agencies. The YWCA Malden’s Women's Residency is a Malden-based housing program that provides a safe, affordable and supportive place for women to call home while they work or go to school on a full time basis. This well-maintained 21 unit Victorian home is located in the heart of downtown Malden. Residents have easy access to public transportation, employment opportunities, educational programs, financial literacy training and social service agencies. Each resident enjoys a private studio, as well as congregate kitchen and living space. There are 21 women living at Willcox Hall at any given time, each one demonstrating various states of risk/self-sufficiency. Many residents are immigrants who are stabilizing their lives and acclimating to life in the United States. Other women need job training or financial management skills so they can more effectively maintain an apartment on their own. Still other residents are young women who lack a familial support system and find themselves alone, without the resources to determine a course of action. Every Willcox Hall resident works towards her own financial self-sufficiency.

QUEST FOR LIFE QUEST FOR LIFE REPRESENTS: Quest For Life is a program that creates meaningful experiences for youth, where they are encouraged to work together and interact. . By encouraging them to see how it affects themselves and the world around them, they can become inspiring leaders in eliminating the stigma associated with mental health. Quote QUEST FOR LIFE GOAL: In Quest For Life, our goal is to encourage people to get outside, move around, and interact with others without the use of electronics. Quest For Life hopes that all our participants will finish their quests feeling like better person with a better mindset. Finishing our quests with reduced stress. friendships, and rewards.
