YWCA Malden’s Middle School “After-School Enrichment” is a partnership between the Ferryway School and the YWCA Malden.
YWCA partners with the Ferryway School to offer middle school student hands-on personalized activities that are student-centered, challenging and cutting edge. These projects are designed to engage Malden’s most challenging learners in activities that have a real life application. Having a well-established partnership between a public school and a community-based youth serving organization allows students to access vibrant and highly-qualified instructors, small group educational settings, and an array of innovative resources that enhances lessons learned during the structure of the school day.
YWCA provides meaningful opportunities for youth be become civically involved in the community. At the middle school level, youth are introduced to quality volunteer opportunities to set the foundation for more advanced civic engagement and leadership opportunities. This approach enables students to reflect on, and engage in the world around them. ;
